We have created this handy Preparation Checklist to make it easy for you to work through what needs to be done before we arrive and so that your property is ready for work to commence at the agreed time. This prior preparation on your part is essential. Please do not hesitate to call us before the job is scheduled to commence if you need clarification on any of these points or have other questions.
Remove all furniture including couches, TVs, stereos, cabinets, pool tables, fridges, dishwashers and pictures from the area in which the work is to be performed.
Kitchen cupboards are to be cleared completely if an entire stripout is to be performed or, if only the floor is to be removed, the pantry will need to be cleared and cupboards taped to prevent dust entering.
Bathrooms are to be cleared completely if Total Strip is to perform a entire stripout in this area.
Clear access is needed in and out of the work area for ease of waste removal and machine accessibility.
All openings such as doors and windows need to be unlocked for the health and safety of Total Strip employees.
Taping or sheeting off of doorways is recommended for areas to which no access is required. Covering of items is essential where they cannot be removed or are located in rooms where large openings prevent sheeting.
As removing floor coverings, stripping out bathrooms and concrete grinding is noisy, it is the client's responsibility to ensure they have notified all people who would potentially be affected.
When floors which are being removed have skirting boards, it is highly recommended that the skirting boards are removed to prevent any damage to them or to the wall above.
All Total Strip's equipment uses 240 volt power, and it's the client's responsibility to ensure that they have access to this power at all times. This includes the mains power box and fuses.
